The more immediate concern is the industry's tightening cost base, with regulatory requirements and higher operating costs placing particular pressure on regional aviation, where thinner margins and limited economies of scale leave operators more exposed. At the same time, airport investment is emerging as a critical issue as infrastructure providers seek to accommodate future demand while airlines face increasing pressure to control costs. The result is a market with solid underlying demand, but a less certain outlook a
